Education:

B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, 2004.

M.Sc. in Chemincal Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran, 2007

Ph.D, Chemical Engineering, Drexel University, 2012.

Research Interest:

Hasti became a postdoctoral researcher of this group in Feb 2013. Her research focuses on field-assisted sintering of ionic materials. The objective of her current research is to understand the effect of applied field on accelerated consolidation during field-assisted sintering. She utilizes in situ transmission microscopy (TEM) to observe the evolution of sintered Yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ). Real-time observations in TEM enable the evaluation of proposed mechanisms for instantaneous consolidation by applying electric field above a certain threshold. Her Ph.D. research focused on nanomaterial synthesis, fabrication and characterization for extremely thin absorber (ETA) solar cells. She used both material and device characterization techniques to understand the effect of material and interface properties on the performance of ETA cells.
